Every type! Many kinds! I love shoes probably more than girls love shoes. I've collected shoes, and I love to design them. I think a d'Orsay pump looks really cool again. It's very reminiscent of a moment in the '90s, and that's always a fun reference.

The collection was really born from the fall inspiration for ready-to-wear. We worked on accessories, bags, and shoes at the same time we worked on ready-to-wear. The concept was to take very rich materials and piece them in unusual ways, taking precious materials and putting them in places where you wouldn't normally see them. Not only color blocking, but tonally blocking things mixing these very rich materials — it's been something that I started to do when I opened the company. It's always been a part of the way that I work, how materials come together to create something. It's more the way you would approach architecture than fashion, but that's the way I think.

We're super late. We've been working on a lot of different projects, and we're putting all of the accessories to bed for next season. So yeah, hamster wheel!

Everything from Azealia Banks and Nicki Minaj to Donna Summers. We have such a crazy bag — Madonna, anything that's fun and upbeat. It depends on the time of day and the mood, right?

I've been local this summer, just staying at home. Very low key! When I travel, I travel light. I'm very organized about how many days [I pack for]. I have a uniform. Keep it simple, make it easy, travel super light.

I'm already working on next fall. I don't remember! But the shoes have come, they've arrived!
