The Best Street Style at New York Fashion Week 2019

A common complaint of New York Fashion Week street style is the lack of individuality and overdose of obvious peacocking during the week. Show attendees have the reputation of wearing the most outrageous outfits just to get photographed, but this year editors and influencers stayed true to their personal style. There were vibrant colors and prints, blazers were finally given a fresh new update, and doubling up on denim is back.

While the shows are exciting and inspiring, the people-watching outside of the shows and presentations is a spectacle in itself. They’re a peek at what will be everywhere come fall. This September, we came for the runway shows and stayed for the whimsical, thoughtful street style with the help of our street style photographer Darrel Hunter.
