'Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner' Highlights
Samantha Bee, comedian extraordinaire and host of the eponymous Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, held the "Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner" in Washington D.C.'s DAR Hall on Saturday night. The April 29 event was the same night as the long-running White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and Samantha's event hosted a bevy of celebrities, prominent activists, an evening performance by legendary Peaches, and of course – the reason for the season – the press.
Throughout the night, Samantha took jabs at the press, President Trump, and the state of the world. The proceeds of the event went to the Committee to Protect Journalists, an organization dedicated to promoting free press worldwide. It's safe to say that the star-studded event was whirlwind of comedy, style, and jokes from one very special guest. Check out the highlights below.

Samantha Bee walked onstage to thunderous applause, wearing a sharp-looking white pantsuit (perhaps an homage to HRC?) with black lapels, taking jabs at everything from CNN to Slate podcasts to – predictably – Trump and Fox News. Addressing the hundreds of members of the press in attendance, Samantha said: “POTUS has convinced his fans that you’re an enemy of the people.”

Show writer – and Full Frontal fan favorite – Ashley Nicole Black talked to Teen Vogue about advice for women in Trump's America. "Just remember that you are not alone. 86% of calls to Congress right now are coming from women," she said. "Women are f***ing fighting. So take time off, take care of yourself, but just remember that women are working together in this thing"
Jessica Miglio3/6Will Ferrell reprised his beloved Saturday Night Live role.
Special guest Will Ferrell walked out as President George W. Bush, a throwback to his Saturday Night Live days when he regularly impersonated the president. "Did you all know I’m a painter now?" he said, holding up an unfinished portrait of Donald Trump. "As you can see, I exhausted my palette of yellows and oranges."

Of Press Secretary Sean Spicer, she advised the journalists in attendance to not be surprised if they came out to find their car keyed with “Fake News!” and “Sean” scrawled into the car door.

Samantha ended the show in a bit in which she speculated on what the world be like if Hilary Clinton were President. The feels in that moment were palpable.
