If you don't already know Olivia Holt from Disney channel's I Didn't Do It, you'll definitely be getting familiar with her in the very near future. At the moment, Olivia's in the process of recording a studio album with Hollywood Records, and thanks to her flawless skin, she's also Neutrogena's newest brand ambassador. She also happens to have a head full of envy-worthy beachy blonde hair, and the pros at Mane Addicts just had to name her one of their muses. Teen Vogue caught up with Olivia to talk about her Mane Addicts photoshoot and her upcoming projects. We also spoke to the makeup artist behind the shoot, Beau Nelson, about his experience working with Olivia as well as creating her different vibes. "I had bangs in middle school, but these looked a lot better than that!" Olivia says of her badass faux fringe.
Makeup artist Beau Nelson wanted to uncover unexpected sides of Olivia for this shoot with her beauty looks. "I wanted to bring out aspects of Olivia that I saw inside her, from a modern Bardot to a super fresh-faced modernist. Every woman has multiple aspects and makeup is a fun way to express those sides of you," he said.
For this look he used Neutrogena's Crease Proof Eye Shadow in copper and pressed some bronze glitter over it.

To make sure that Olivia's hair and makeup really stood out, the set for the photoshoot was kept super minimal.
"All of these styles are on the edgier side. We literally shot up against a black-and-white wall the whole shoot. The lighting gave a mysterious vibe and energy," she said.
"The makeup was a little dark. We did a small smoky eye, no mascara, and a bare look but it was all still edgy. We amped up the makeup as we changed outfits," she explained.
But the clothes weren't the only inspiration for her makeup. Beau also explained how he decided which products he was going to use to create his magic for each of Olivia's looks. "I really took the hairstylist, John Ruggiero's, lead and worked with the hair looks to create a strong statement to support each look," he said. "For her updo, it was a strong brow. I used a brow pencil a shade darker than her hair to really define and sculpt her brows. I accented her cheeks subtly with Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Blush in rosy. Her smoky eyes were created with Neutrogena's Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow palette in smoky steel, along with their Healthy Volume Mascara and black Nourishing Eye Liner for extra dramatic eyes," he added.

Olivia also shared her excitement about her experience working as Neutrogena's new brand ambassador, and how she keeps her skin glowing.
"It’s super surreal. I grew up with the brand. My family used the products. I’ve known about it almost my entire life. It’s surreal. I’ve learned so much. I learn more about their products and what’s going into them and about my skin type and how to treat it. If I weren’t with them, I wouldn’t know that," she said.
As far as her skincare routine, Olivia keeps it pretty simple. "I’ve been moisturizing now. I bounced around between a bunch of different brands. I fell in love with Neutrogena's pink grapefruit products. They have a lot of good ones with SPF in them, which is perfect. I’m so sensitive to the sun! My skin feels so smooth and great and I haven’t gotten burned," she explained.
Beau made sure that he learned some of Olivia's skincare secrets while they were on set as well. "I always ask my clients what they use especially when they have great skin like her. She told me about Neutrogena's Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Daily Leave-On Mask that you don’t have to wash off, which sounds amazing. It reduces any breakouts fast, but also vanishes instantly into the skin so you can still get ready quickly in the morning. Then you can apply spot concealer, a tinted moisturizer, SPF, or anything else you need right away," he said.

As a recording artist, it makes sense that Olivia headed to the Coachella music festival this year to catch some of her fave artists live. "I have a bunch of people that I want to see. Guns N' Roses, Ellie Goulding, Snake Hips, Halsey, Jack U, The Chainsmokers, The 1975, and Alessia Cara are a few," she said.
And of course we had to get the scoop on what her hair and makeup would look like for the big weekend.
"This is my first year going to Coachella and I know that I want to play around with different styles. Riawna Capri's doing my hair for Coachella. Maybe we'll try a cool braid or high ponytail," she said.
"I’ve never been good at doing my own hair and makeup, because I’ve worked with so many artists and stylists. It gives me a chance to talk to them and understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. As of late, I’ve been trying to go for a more natural look, I feel more comfortable in it," she explained.
However, every now and then she does like to play around with her look. "When I want to put liner on, I do a really thin line. I’ve never been good with liquid liner, but practice makes perfect," she said.
Mostly though, Olivia is definitely a fan of keeping things natural, as Beau quickly learned. "We were on a time crunch but we laughed our way through quick changes before she headed out to Disneyland to meet friends. I suggested she wear her dramatic glitter look out to Disneyland jokingly as she reached for a Neutrogena wipe to take it off," he shared.

With almost 5 million followers on Instagram, Olivia has to have some social media tricks up her sleeve.
"I’m a theme person when it comes to Instagram feeds. I’m not really good at it because there are so many filters I like and I have a hard time sticking with it. There's SO many people that I love to follow. Whether it’s the photos that they post or the filters they use; Shay Mitchell’s is really good. She does so many and it’s amazing," she said.
When it comes to taking selfies Olivia also shared her number one tip. "No low angles and no dark lighting!" We agree, lighting is absolutely everything.
So what's the perfect beauty look for those summer selfies we'll be taking soon? Beau says, "Use bronzer to give your skin a sun-kissed glow and contour your face naturally. Tanning is out! And a nude lip perhaps. Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Almond Nude or Pink Nude are Olivia's favorites and mine, too."
