We, the editors of Teen Vogue, would like to formally apologize for scaring you that badly. Yes, we knew One Direction was going on a break — but no, they won't be splitting up before they drop Made in the A.M., their fifth studio album. It's out November 13th, and in order to properly celebrate, the boys are giving us four additional albums to go along with it.
Well, additional album covers, anyway.
While the official album is in screaming color (sorry for the Taylor Swift reference), Harry, Liam, Louis, and Niall each posed for a moody black-and-white shot that best exemplifies their personalities. They're available exclusively at HMV to people who live in the U.K., but that doesn't mean you can't print out these gorgeous shots for your wall — and maybe call up a friend who lives in London to see if they can ship one to you. Go the extra mile. These photos are that...wait for it...perfect.

The groovy singer gave us a sneak peek at this shot on his Instagram, but we had no idea it would materialize into an album cover. It just seemed like another moody shot from Harry's already aesthetically-driven feed. (P.S., H, where did you buy that shirt and does it come in our size?)

Between the slight bouffant hairdo and the Canadian tuxedo, Liam's is the most casual cover of the bunch. He's also the moodiest, looking down and contemplating life — and maybe his breakup. He's got a great side profile, though, and now all we want to do is wear our denim jackets to match.
4/6Louis Tomlinson
What's Louis laughing about? Do you think he'd let us in on the joke? Regardless, the track jacket and graphic tee work perfectly here, and he's continuing on Harry and Liam's tradition of staring off to the side, in slight profile. We approve.
5/6Niall Horan
The only one to look straight into the camera, Niall's sitting down and takes up much more of the camera's frame than his bandmates. Is this foreboding to something in the future? What does this mean? Niall, why did you do something different?! Well, we'll have to wait until November 13 to find out.
