Our Homecoming 2022: See All The Best Street Style

There is no celebration as unifying as a good homecoming, but at the unique cultural rave Our Homecoming 2022, you also get a blend of musical performances, art, fashion pop-ups, street style, and a celebration of culture. Since its inception four years ago by Grace Ladoja, the annual Lagos-based music festival has been that event, bridging the cultural gap between the world and Africa. This year, the Our Homecoming celebrations returned with more exciting on-site raves and a focus on celebrating Africa’s thriving artistic scene.

With a starry lineup of both homegrown and international teen music sensations like Central Cee, Arrdee, and Black Sherif the festival was marked by so much vibrance and youthful exuberance. The panels and fashion pop-ups also brought together Africa’s most creative folks to find the way forward for growth.

While the music was key throughout the three-day celebrations, the best of festive style worn by show goers took the center stage. The streets were full of an effervescent fashion crowd, who were far from boring with their interesting takes on fashion. The looks went beyond the usual festive style staples, and instead, self-expression was the overarching theme. Think bold mashups of colorful African style influences and streetwear with nods to '90s Nollywood and lots of grungy Nigerian alté looks.
