Outrageous 2017 Style Trends We're Glad We Tried
Every year there are fashion trends that are, well... strange. 2017 had no shortage of these questionable choices that we saw on the streets, the red carpet and of course the runways — never forget the thong jeans, may they live on forever in our memories. There were, however, some of these trends that we did try out and to be honest, they're great. And as many trends go, we'll probably be seeing some of these live on well into 2018. From tiny sunnies to boob tees, ahead check out some of these style moments that we reluctantly wore and we are so happy we did.

For so long, oversized sunnies reigned supreme. In 2017, celebs like Gigi Hadid decided to downsize with itty bitty lensed glasses reminiscent of the early 90s. Not only are they a conversation starter, they're super chic. Here's a pair we're really loving by Stella McCartney.

Arguably fanny packs are the number one comeback kid of the year 2017. Despite the fact that it was a trend that we all thought had gone away for good models, influencer and designers changed our minds. From the traditional around the waist look like Bella Hadid shown above to across the shoulder, we could not be happier that this came back in style (shocking I know). Here's the Gucci bag that is a fave of supermodels like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

Did we need fast food fashion? maybe, maybe not. But is it the most Instagram-worthy "fire" item that entered our closets this year? Absolutely.

Hoop earrings are the easiest way to make a statement with your outfit and they look good with pretty much every single outfit in your closet. That is 100% fact. In 2017, people took the hoop trend to the next level and we are so happy we jumped on board. Here's a pair of our faves for under $50.

Freeing the nipple took on a whole new meaning this year with, well... boob tees. Kendall Jenner stepped out wearing one by Never Fully Dressed and instantly it became a fan favorite. Boobs: they go with anything! You can get the shirt Kendall is wearing here.

For so long, tube socks were those things your dad wore that ended up with holes and eventually in the garbage. In 2017, they became a fashion week staple. Wearing socks with everything from boots to heels was one of those things that made life a little more stylish and comfortable.

You're practical UGGs got an insane and unexpected upgrade this year with embellishments by designer Jeremy Scott. They upgraded the wardrobe staple we've seen on every college campus for the last ten years to something that is, well, glamourous.
