Marchesa's Georgina Chapman Debuts a Perfectly-Priced Prom Collection

As the designer of Marchesa, Georgina Chapman is a formalwear expert by trade. And good news! She's brought her elegant aesthetic to JC Penney with a new collection of party-ready dresses all priced under $250.

"I want to offer girls special-occasion pieces—whether for a high school prom or a black tie event—that allow them to dress up and feel glamorous without spending a fortune," Georgina told us.

The pieces range in style, and we especially love the ruffly red minidress that practically begs for a twirl on the dance floor. Want something more dramatic? A black floor-length gown with gold embellishment will certainly make a statement when it's time to take prom pictures. As for Georgina's favorite, she's partial to "the strapless tiered gown in a beautiful floral watercolor pattern." And her expert advice?
