Pretty soon, she began sharing her 24/7 makeup love affair with the world. Tanya's niche for spreading spectacular beauty tips online runs in the family (well, sort of). Her channel is a pseudo-sister to the fresh faces behind beauty vlogging vet Pixiwoo, her boyfriend's sisters.

2/11**Why did you initially decide to start a vlog? **
I was working at a makeup counter during the day and loved makeup so much that in the evenings I just wanted to come home and play with my makeup some more. My boyfriend's sisters had a channel already, so they gave me the idea and got me started!
3/11What is the story behind your vlog’s title?
When I set up my channel I was at my boyfriend’s sister’s house. She is one of the sisters behind the amazing youtube channel "pixiwoo" and since I am like a little sister to them, Sam (the eldest) said that my channel should be "pixiwoo2." That name was taken so I settled with "pixi2woo"
If your vlog had a mission statement, what would it be?
To provide fun, inspiring, beautiful, and achievable makeup tutorials for the world! I also have a fashion channel Tanya Vlogs and Hauls and my mission statement for that would be to provide casual outfit ideas for girls struggling with everyday style.
4/11What are your personal favorite blogs and vlogs? Why?
I have to say I think my boyfriend’s vlogs (Love, life and manly stuff!
)are amazing, although I may be biased! We searched the internet and struggled to find a YouTube channel like his that covers men’s fashion, grooming and fitness. He is also really funny. My favorite blog is 15 Steps, then a beauty blog, because Sandra has a very similar taste in makeup and fashion as I do. I also love her personal style of writing.
Or course there is also Pixiwoo. Sam and Nic have been like big sisters to me.
**What type of camera do you use? **
I use the Canon 600D. It is incredible.
5/11What are the best aspects of running your own blog? What are the hardest aspects?
One of the best aspects is being my own boss. In the 2 years I have been vlogging it has really taken off and become my career. Also, the friends I have made on the internet (as freaky as that sounds! I mean other vloggers and bloggers). The hardest aspect is knowing when to close my laptop—I will often be up until the early hours of the morning editing a video. It is completely different than a 9 to 5 job. But then again that is also what I love about it!
How long have you been into makeup?
I have been into makeup for as long as I can remember. When I was very little my mum would let me order "makeup" from the Avon catalog, which wasn't actually makeup it would just be things like clear nail polish in pretty packaging or lip balm in a stick form so it felt like lipstick. I loved it.
6/11How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as pretty classic, since I like to splurge on key pieces that won't go out of fashion. However, I do like to add a few "trendy" items to my wardrobe to keep my style current (I just don't spend that much money on those pieces!)
What do you do when you're not blogging?
Hang out with my boyfriend, play piano (which not many people know about me) and I LOVE to shop since fashion is a huge hobby of mine. Most of all, I love to hang out with my friends and family. Actually, shopping WITH friends or family would be my favorite thing to do!

For skincare: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and Origins Mega Mushroom Face Cream. For makeup: Jemma Kidd Light As Air foundation, NARS Laguna Bronzer, MAC Frankly Scarlett blush, Bourjois Volumizer Mascara, and Barry M lipgloss in number 11!
Any advice for anyone who wants to start her/his own blog?
Vlog about something you are truly passionate about and that you could happily talk about forever, like I can about makeup! Stay true to yourself, show your personality in your videos and be honest!
8/11Do you prefer drugstore or high-end makeup brands?
I have to be honest and say high-end, in general anyway. I get such a buzz walking through any of the beauty halls in department stores and I love brands like Tom Ford and Laura Mercier. However, my favorite lip gloss ever is from Barry M.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
The Kooples are great for quality staple pieces, Zara for everything, ASOS for online shopping, and Kurt Geiger for shoes.
9/11Are there any trends you're particularly inspired by this season?
For makeup, I love the dark lip that comes around at this time each year, it can look so sophisticated and perfect for a Christmas party. For fashion, I am obsessed with embellished clothes, which are huge this season.
If you had a thousand dollars to spend on makeup, what would you buy?
A whole load of beautiful makeup from high-end brands such as Tom Ford, Dior, Chanel etc. I would definitely be getting Tom Ford's new fragrance Violet Blonde.
10/11What's in your travel beauty bag?
In my handbag I keep By Terry Baume De Rose, an amazing lip balm, and By Terry Touch Expert concealer, for if I look tired throughout the day or get redness around my nose. It is in a pen form so it is really easy to use on-the-go. I also keep Kate Spade lipstick in Bashful Blush, Barry M lip gloss 11, and finally my Chanel pressed powder.
Most memorable makeup faux pas?
Wearing far too heavy foundation and super pale lips! Ew!
11/11What/who is your makeup inspiration?
I love the makeup the Victoria's Secret Models wear, it's natural but sexy.
What's your daily makeup routine?
It depends if I am leaving the house or not. If not, then I wear no makeup. If I am going to the supermarket then I just wear tinted moisturizer. If I am going to a meeting or to see friends then I probably wear a natural smoky eye and natural colored lips. I never really wear heavy makeup. Apart from my brows—I like a strong brow!
