1/22The world is reeling since news broke of music legend Prince's passing, at the age of 57. His death is not just a loss for the music world. Prince's singular style had an indelible impact on the fashion industry as well.
In 1978, a 19-year-old Prince, born Prince Rogers Nelson, came out with his first album “For You." Mixing disco, R&B, jazz, pop and psychedelic rock, the record set the tone for his incredibly successful 30 year career, during which he completed 39 studio albums and won 7 Grammys.
His influence also reached the fashion world, where he was considered a trend setter who pushed the limits of gender conformity, shaping what it means to be stylish and glamorous today.
Here are some of the celebs who were undoubtedly influenced by Prince’s style legacy, from his famous monochrome outfits to his unforgettably over-the-top glittery bodysuits.
