The Spring 2011 runway proved that floral doesn't have to mean sugary sweet flower prints. Get the runway-ready look on your big night by opting for dresses with oversized floral details like a voluminous blossom sewn in at the waist or shoulder, or a skirt intricately covered with tiny rosettes. Take the trend to the next level by choosing flowery colors like pink, red and light blue, or tone it down in black, white or gray. It's a dramatic look so make sure that at least one aspect of your ensemble is pared down whether it be your nude heels or a plain, tapered bodice.
