Recreate Rihanna's Iconic Pompadour
In a sea of pretty-but-safe red carpet looks, Rihanna is someone who always stands out from the crowd. With her typically flame-red tresses continually styled in new and inventive ways, we can't help but be a little envious of her hair's incredible versatility. That's why was superexcited to speak with her hairstylist, Ursula Stephen, about how to achieve one of the singer's most memorable looks: the pompadour, which she wore at the 2011 Grammys. 3/6She applied Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion to the longer hair at the crown, and then molded the hair upward and to the right side of the head. Rihanna sat under a hooded dryer to set the style. 4/6"To make the hair look supersharp, I always clean up and shape the sides and back of Rihanna’s head with Andis Hair Clippers," Stephen says.

5/6Once the style was set, Stephen applied Motions Original Oil Moisturizer Hair Lotion "for silkiness and shine." Then, she used a FHI flat iron on small sections of the hair in an upward motion.

6/6After the entire head was flat-ironed, Stephen finished the look by distributing TIGI S-Factor Dream Drops throughout the hair using her fingers, molding the look as she went.
