How To Make A Scalloped Collar Top
1/10What You Need
-Collared top
-Scissors
-Fray Check
-Small paintbrush
-A permanent marker lightly darker than the shirt
-A few small wood circles or other small circle objects (soda bottle caps or large buttons will also work)
2/10Arrange Circle Pieces
Lay the shirt flat. Starting at one side of the collar, arrange the circle pieces in a row along the edge.
3/10Trace Circles
Hold each circle in place and trace the bottom edge, creating a scalloped shape
4/10Brush Fray Check Over Line
Brush Fray Check over your drawn line, and allow it to dry.
5/10Continue Tracing
Move the circles over, and repeat. Continue until you reach the other edge of the collar.
6/10Cut Along Line
After the Fray Check has dried, carefully cut along the scalloped line. The dried Fray Check will keep the shirt from unraveling where you cut.
7/10Trace Circles On Hem
Trace the circles and continue all the way around the bottom of the shirt.
8/10Arrange Circles On Hem
Repeat the process on the bottom hem of the shirt, beginning by placing the wood circles at the edge of the button placket.

10/10Use Fray Check And Cut Along Hem Line
Paint the drawn line with Fray Check, allow it to dry, and cut along the line all the way around the bottom hem.
