Seoul Fashion Week 2018: See the Highlights
Right now, the cultural output in South Korea is one of the fastest growing in the world. From the food to the music to the beauty and fashion, everyone is watching what this country is doing. Now enter Seoul Fashion Week. A five-day-long event featuring dozens of South Korean designers showing off their new collections. It takes place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a stunning piece of architecture designed by acclaimed artist Zaha Hadid. Like other international fashion weeks, hundreds of people fill the space wearing their best looks for a chance to get photographed and celebrities get ushered in through crowds of fans wearing their favorite designers to sit front row at their shows.
What makes Seoul stand out from the pack, however, is the vibrancy and excitement the whole city has for the week ahead of them. People crowd the venue whether they're attending or not to get their photos taken or get a sneak peek at the shows. Seoul Fashion Week signs line the street for miles away and businesses have "fashion week" specials for days before and after. It is truly a celebration of style and culture in the beautiful city.

Through rain or shine, the attendees of Seoul Fashion Week showed up to the events rocking next level street style. One of the biggest trends? Logos, and lots of them. Whether it was fashion labels or Pepsi, repping brands is the biggest trend on the streets of Seoul.

Every show was a no holds bar display of epic fashion. Big Park by Park Youn Soo has been around since 2012 showing just that. This season the brand mixed traditional prints with grungy plaids for a show that was show-stopping but completely wearable.

Backstage at the shows, models eagerly wait to walk the runway. While many of the shows featured coordinated beauty looks, some like MUNN opted to let the model's personal style shine.

Much like in other cities that host fashion week, celebrities come out dressed in their most eye-catching looks to see the shows. With an excited crowd surrounding him, U-Kwon of K-Pop band Block B came to support designer CHARM'S.

Incredible fashion looks aside, the runway beauty looks were anything but an after-thought. Take Tibaeg for example, where the models wore millennial pink shadow in both their brows and on their eyelids. Some also wore pigtails with multiple bands for a textured look.

Speaking of the models, shows like Kimmy J cast people of all ages showing that their looks can be translated to anyone that loves them.

There was no shortage of Avante Garde artistry throughout the shows. Blindness, a South Korean brand that was recently a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize, was easily one of the most talked about of the week. With full patterned bodysuits as the base of every look and voluminous overcoats, each look was more breathtaking than the next.
