Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron as Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton may have been front runners of East High's theatre program, but there was always a spotlight on Sharpay. 1/14She radiates with confidence.
As soon as the doors opened to East High, it was easy to tell who had control over the Wildcats. (Minus on the court, of course). You can't argue the head turns and nods from anyone she walked past. Oh, and let's pause for her hair, it's just so bouncy.
2/14"Nope, me first."
It's clear that Sharpay is a star on and off stage. Luckily, her brother Ryan is sweet enough (or is it scared enough?) to always think of her first. The two make the ultimate duo.
3/14In fact, Sharpay and Ryan's pre-show routine was easily one of the best parts of the movies.
To be honest, they didn't even need to warm up. The dynamic duo was ready to put on a show any time. Sharpay somehow always has her glittery mic on hand.
4/14And the girl has moves.
Sharpay totally knows how to work any number, any song, any time. Singing and dancing simultaneously is no easy feat, so props to her for making it look so effortless.
5/14How could anyone forget her over dramatic reactions?
Can you imagine being on edge like that all the time? Kudos to Ashley for flawlessly pulling off such a dramatic character. No one could've done it better.
6/14She rolls her Rs really well.
Enunciation is a must. Not only were her Rs on point, but their salsa routine was magic.
7/14No one will ever steal her spotlight.
The battle between Sharpay and her minion Tiara during High School Musical 3 was epic. Tiara even had a dress made exactly like Sharpay's. Though she was acting out of jealousy and tried to take the attention away from Sharpay, imitation is the highest form of flattery.
8/14She always pushes for what she wants.
She eventually got the idea that Troy and Gabriella were meant for each other, but who hasn't taken a year — or three — to understand that it's just not going to happen between you and your crush?
9/14She always had a secret admirer anyway.
Zeke Baylor, another Wildcat who was on the basketball team with Troy, was all about Sharpay. She may have shut him down constantly, but their relationship was definitely one of those love-hate ones everybody roots for.
10/14And then there were the rare times we see her get this happy and excited.
Sharpay is proof that you can win over any girl's heart with dessert. At least that's what happened with Zeke and his cookies.
11/14You can't get rid of her that easily.
Tiara thought Sharpay would be gone after her senior year...but it will always be her drama department. She ended up enrolling at the University of Albuquerque and coming back to assist at East High.
12/14She's a glam goddess.
Her vocal warmups are just a tiny part of how she gets ready. Sharpay's dressing room may be decked out with everything she needs, but it's surprising she doesn't always have a glam squad by her side given how put-together she always looks.
13/14Her voice is amazing.
We may be mentioning her incredible voice towards the end of the slideshow, but it's certainly not the least. The group numbers would be nothing without Sharpay's solos and harmonies. She may crave the spotlight, but it's proof that she's also a team player.
14/14And you can't forget her confidence and ambition.
If there's anything to take away from Sharpay is that you can do absolutely anything, as long as you believe in yourself. Things may not have always worked out the way she thought they would, but Sharpay never let anything or anyone stop her from going after her goals. And neither should you.
