Sky Ferreira on her favorite trends, celebrity crushes, and biggest fears
I recently stumbled upon an old Flip cam video of Sky Ferreira and I meeting (and giggling excessively) for the first time at the Betsey Johnson show in February of 2010. Over the last two years, through a series of photo shoots, sushi dinners, late night LOL texting sessions, and epic karaoke moments (from Stevie to Whitney), the singer and I have grown close. This once-shy pop star has now starred in campaigns for the likes of Calvin Klein and Adidas and just recently got back from her second Paris fashion week where she was looking super glamorous. I sit down with Sky for a much needed catch-up session and got the scoop on what is currently making her tick.

**You just went to Paris fashion week for the second time. How was it? What was the weirdest thing that happened? **
I had a lot of fun this time. Last time I didn't really go out, this time I went for it. My first season I got to play the Givenchy after party and this time I did an acoustic set for Maison Michel so I'm on a pretty nice run so far. The weirdest part was when Kanye West had go-carts reeling around at the end of his show and I thought they were "little people."
**What was your favorite fashion week show you saw this season? **
I have two. Givenchy and Proenza. I'm excited to go to YSL next season now that Heidi is back. His work is always so effortlessly cool from his photography to his clothing. Best news yet.

**Who was the last celebrity to make you feel star struck? **
Johnny Depp. He's my biggest celebrity crush, as dorky as that sounds. I tried to play it cool though, but totally embarrassed myself because I was shedding hair everywhere. I also tried to avoid looking at him for 45 minutes so I stared at my knees and started drawing on them. By the end of it I was covered in ink and I looked up and he was standing there. Just my luck. (Don't worry. I still love my boyfriend!)
** What has been your biggest beauty blunder?**
I generally have pretty clear skin, but once a month I get a giant BUMP on my face. Like smack dab in the middle so I can't hide it. So annoying.

**If you could shop in the closets of three people, who would you choose and why? **
Kate Moss (because she probably has some amazing archive), Miuccia Prada, Chloe Sevigny
**Do you ever miss living in LA and why or why not? **
I miss my family, but NY is my home. I'm out there so often that I don't really get a chance to miss it.
Louis Vuitton or Marc Jacobs collection?
Louis Vuitton. I know it was a few seasons ago, but I really like all of the French maid stuff.

**Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? **
Smooth!
**What type of girl/person really annoys you? **
People that turn on you easily for no reason.
**What current trend will we never catch you sporting this season? **
Maybe some more pastels.

**Snooki or Jwoww and why? **
Snooki. She eats a lot of pickles.
**What was your favorite 90s cartoon? **
I have so many. I still watch cartoons. Rugrats, probably. I was/am OBSESSED.
**What is your most surprising habit? **
I have to touch everything. When I was younger I had a really gross habit of sucking on the strings of my sweatshirts.

**Who is your hair role model? **
Any girl with straight/silky hair that isn't thick. The grass is always greener on the other side.
**What was the last thing you purchased? **
A vocal note app on my iPad so I can record ideas wherever I am.
**What was your most extravagant purchase? **
An iPad. I know it's not THAT extravagant, but I honestly have no idea how to use it. I believe aliens are using it as tracking devices.

**What color would we find the most of in your closet? **
Black.
**What is the scariest movie you've ever seen? **
The Exorcist. I don't believe the devil exist though. I know its campy and looks bad now, but I'm traumatized. When I was 8 my brother and his friend lied to me and told me it was another movie. I watched it in terror and I wouldn't sleep without my lights on and a cross over my bed until I was 11. To be fair I was (am) scared of ants and Oompa Loompas too.
