10 Red Carpet Looks That Prove the Summer Dress Is Dead
The Met Gala may have been dominated by gorgeous gowns (not to mention, one made out of actual trash), but the biggest trend of the week was far from floor-length. From the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, to the streets of L.A., to (you guessed it) the Gala itself, our favorite style stars were swapping their floral frocks for fresh takes on the spring suit.
Amanda Sternberg went the retro route in a maroon silk number, Kendall Jenner got cozy in printed velvet, and Chloë Grace Moretz switched things up with a cool vintage tee. Whether dressed up or totally toned down, suits were absolutely everywhere this week. And even though we’re not ready to completely abandon our trusty sundresses, these 10 are quickly convincing us it’s time to give pants a chance.
