Photo Evidence That Taylor Swift Has Never Had A Bad Hair Day
1/20Taylor Swift's list of accomplishments could easily fill up a notebook (or 10): countless hit songs and awards, incredible philanthropic work, the coolest girl squad in the world, a swoon-worthy relationship, cats that could pass as pet models (meow), a more-than-loyal fan base (hello, Swifties!), and some kick-ass signature style. But there's one accomplishment we at Teen Vogue find of particular interest. After scrolling (and scrolling and scrolling) on Instagram, it's become clear that she's never EVER had a bad hair day (see evidence below).
Taylor has long been a bangs girl — and all of you who rock fringe can attest to the fact that it sometimes takes on a life of its own. Well, not for Taylor. Her flaxen, shoulder-length cut is hair commercial-worthy 365 days of the year. It seriously looks next-level amazing no matter what she's doing. To prove it, we went through the 'gram and pulled out some scenarios where less-than-perfect hair would be totally and completely acceptable, and even expected. But not for Tay. Turns out, even in a full "pegacorn" getup, her strands remain in place. #Hairgoals doesn't even begin to cover it.
2/20Somehow, even in the ocean, Taylor's hair appears slightly windswept, yet shockingly smooth. Also, is it dry? Is she wearing her signature red lipstick during a beach trip? Both seem to be true. Wonder what her 'do would look like if Este Haim suddenly dunked her bestie in that crystal blue Maui water.
3/20Two things are clear in this picture. One, Taylor is totally smitten by Calvin. And two, she rocks wet hair like a pro. How does it look gorgeously wavy and not sopping? More evidence that she's our hair hero.
4/20No photo? No way. When your hair looks this beautiful and shiny, a photo op is a necessity. Her beaded headband has us wishing for a Blair Waldorf cameo. Maybe Taylor should invite Leighton to join her squad.
5/20Christmas means presents, pajamas, and a serious case of bedhead. Not for Taylor — especially when it involves hang time with your movie star bestie, Hailee Steinfeld. Both girls are owning their side-swept bangs. Can they please host a how-to-style-your-bangs tutorial? We'd be the first to watch.
6/20Taylor mostly wears her hair down — and you would, too, if it looked as good as hers. But even in this messy bun situation, she manages to maintain her usual cool factor. Maybe it's her bangs peeking out, maybe it's the red hair wrap that ties the look together. Another A+ hair moment for the books.
7/20When we first saw this photo, we collectively gasped. Did Taylor dye her hair a reddish orange? Is she even still Taylor Swift without blonde hair? Well, her comment cleared it up. Turns out, it's just the sunset reflected on her hair during a hangout with Odeya Rush. Regardless of the color source, her hair and makeup look equally effortless and pretty here.
8/20Even though Taylor is celebrating her time in Australia, she's channeling French-girl chic in this striped shirt, classic makeup, and braided updo. There's something very sophisticated about this vibe. We think she should play with plaits more often!
9/20This is probably the most "wild" we've ever seen Taylor's hair. And it still looks chic. She looks truly happy...I mean, who wouldn't be on a beachfront vacation? But her hair still looks awesome — a perfect example of that high-fashion wet look without being too slick or serious.
10/20There's nothing more New York than sitting and chilling on a stoop. Leave it to Taylor to take this normal activity up a notch with a bubble machine. Also, most New Yorkers don't look as put-together while sitting on said stoops. This is one of Taylor's best outfit combos/hair days that we've seen yet.
11/20We're always shocked by how vibrant and lively Taylor appears. It has to be exhausting jetting from city to city on the reg, yet she handles it with grace and energy. But even superstars get sleepy, as documented by this Instagram of Taylor en route to the airport for a 7 a.m. flight. She's wearing her glasses, wrapped in a puffy blanket, and clutching caffeine. Oh, and her hair game…still on point.
12/20Taylor's friend group can be random. For example, did you know she's tight with Ina Garten, aka the Barefoot Contessa? It makes sense, though. Taylor seems to be the kind of girl who could whip up a cake in a flash. Well, in the photo, she says she spent a day of cooking with the master chef. How does her 'do look perfectly curled and in place with no sign of flour streaks or chocolate lowlights? Another hair mystery.
13/20Another day, another friend hangout, this time with fellow songstress gal pal, Lorde. There's something about their look-over-the-shoulder posing and equally gorgeous hair that screams hair ad. Someone, get these girls contracts!
14/20There are too many amazing things happening in this picture to focus solely on Taylor's hair. How adorable is little Olivia Benson? How cool is Taylor's leather jacket? How do we draw a cat eye like this? But also, it is worth noting that, once again, her hair does look incredibly perfect for a plane ride.
15/20Even mid-jam during a recording session, Taylor manages to pull off a casual pony with ease and style. The bulky headphones aren't the cutest hair accessory, but we fully support anything she's doing to make more music. Keep it coming, Tay.
16/20Even the busiest of stars sometimes need to stop and smell the roses. And, if they look as gorgeous as Taylor does, they need to document the experience. We'll take the dress, the pretty, bright lip color, and the curled coif.
17/20When your eyes are the exact same color as the sparkling aquamarine water, and your hair looks effortlessly windswept by the ocean breeze, you have two great reasons to take a selfie.
18/20Nothing says birthday fun like glitter-bombing someone with tinsel. Here, Taylor got her brother good. Naturally, her hair was unaffected by the sparkly mess.
19/20Taylor pulled out all the stops on Halloween dressed as a hybrid pegasus-slash-unicorn...appropriately named a "pegacorn." Who knew pegacorns sported perfect blowouts?
20/20In this birthday post to her BFF Lorde, it appears that they might have just rolled out of bed. There's orange juice, and is that the slightest hint of bedhead? Tay's bangs look ruffled in the most adorable way possible. We're just waiting for a sleepover invite.
