Vogue World: Paris: Relive the Best Moments & Looks from the Night — See Photos
Following Vogue World’s inaugural run in New York City in 2022 and theater-inspired edition in London for 2023, Vogue World has made its long-awaited return — this time in Paris.
On June 23, 2024, Vogue World: Paris took over the City of Light with plenty of surprises from a star-studded roster — from Alex Consani delivering a fierce walk to Maluma doing a dance number in the middle of the show.
The third installation of Vogue's annual grand showcase was held in Paris this year to kick off Haute Couture Week, honor French fashion history, and recognize the upcoming summer 2024 Olympics that'll be hosted in the city. To honor all of the above, Vogue World combined fashion and sports, similar to the theater-focused show in London last year. Building up to the show, supermodel Gigi Hadid starred in promotional materials, including gymnastics and track-themed shoots featuring Olivier Rousteing and Simon Porte Jacquemus, respectively.
With an impressive guest list, immersive runways, grand performances, and Cara Delevingne as host, let’s just say the teasers did not let us down, and there was plenty to see at Vogue World. In case you missed any of the action, we've recapped the highlights from the show so you can wave FOMO goodbye. Scroll on to see the biggest moments and the best-dressed stars at Vogue World: Paris.
1. Aya Nakamura opened the show with a showstoping renditon of “Fly”
After Jean-Paul Gaultier finished adding some final touches to her look, French-Malian singer-songwriter Aya Nakamura took the runway for a powerful performance that kicked off the show. She wore a rich satin brown gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline accentuated by tulle ruffles, a boned corset strapped by belts, and a high-slit skirt flowing into a train. While Nakamura sang, models (including FKA Twigs) walked in Chanel looks that were originally featured in Vogue in 1924, and cyclists circled the stage as a nod to the Tour de France.
2. Sabrina Carpenter made her runway debut
Honoring 1940s fashion, swimwear, and aquatics sports (complete with an orchestral rendition of “Water” by Tyla), Sabrina Carpenter made her runway debut. She wore a red and white striped one-piece with a matching wrap skirt and silk scarf atop her signature curtain bangs. Following Carpenter, Imaan Hammam similarly wore a silk scarf over her hair and a strapless green and white shift dress, and Barbara Palvin sported a sailor hat with a striped paneled top and a pleated skirt. The pieces in this section were designed by Jacquemus, who was tasked with reinterpreting his Les Parosols De Marseille show.
3. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid made a grand entrance on horse
To highlight 1950s dress and equestrians, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid strutted onto the runway— not walking but horseback riding. The duo (and their horses) were dressed in matching Hermès jackets and even wore matching red lipstick, while the horses each wore silk scarves.
4. Teyana Taylor showed off her dazzling dance skills
During the segment honoring 1960s fashion, especially Paco Rabanne and Courrèges, singer and dancer Teyana Taylor made a special appearance. Dressed in a shiny silver chain-link dress, vintage from Paco Rabanne, Taylor delivered a stunning dance number.
5. Bad Bunny performed a medley of some of his biggest hits
As Anok Yai took the runway in a reimagined Alaïa look to highlight the 1990s and soccer, Bad Bunny began a medley of his hit songs. During this segment, Delevingne also took a quick break from hosting to walk the runway, too. Prior to taking gigs in acting and hosting, she was originally a supermodel after all! Bad Bunny continued his performance as Serena and Venus Williams walked the runway in Off-White and Marine Serre, respectively, to kickstart the 2000s segment that honored tennis.
And the fashionable festivities did not stop there. You can rewatch the entire show here and check out what attendees who did not walk the show wore to Vogue World: Paris below, including Emma Chamberlain in an itty-bitty Rick Owens top.
