The 5 Things We’re Buying This Week Under $50
Just when I thought I had come to terms with my under eye circles and overall skin challenges, life threw another hurdle my way. Last year, around this time, my allergies and eczema decided to flare up like never before. Where exactly? Around my eyes. Great! Fantastic! Wonderful! I would wake up looking as if I had joined Fight Club every night. My eyes were so puffy I could barely see and so irritated no lotion, ointment, or oil could soothe them. Yet luckily, I did manage to find some products that managed to keep everything at bay.
And since it's almost that time of the year again, this week, I'm stocking up on said products. Last week, I purchased my new favorite face mask and my holy grail lip balm, but below you'll find some clean beauty, great Amazon finds, and classic (yet debatable) beauty staples. Now, if you're dealing with eczema like me, I highly suggest everything. However, remember that everybody has different needs.
Say hello to my favorite device I've ever bought via Amazon! Around this time every year my face, especially my eyes, are extremely puffy in the mornings due to allergies. However, using this bad boy after I cleanse my face in the morning is a complete game-changer. Not only does this product de-puff your skin but if the splash of water after cleaning your face wasn't enough to wake you up, the cool sensation of this roller will.
After I ice roll my face, I apply Rosehip oil all over my eyes or on any spot that's dry or irritated. If you're not used to using oils and how messy they can be, then this might not be the right thing for you. However, I think it's completely worth it. This product can help redness and irritation diminish while the oil acts as a nice barrier to your moisturizer if your skin gets very irritated like mine.
Ok, ok. So, apparently, Vaseline isn't all that good for your skin. However, when your skin rejects everything you apply on it and only welcomes Vaseline, then you stick to it. At least, that's what I do. When fall rolls over, you'll see me stocking up on this classic. Whether it be the regular size or the miniature ones, I never leave my house without one. Because if it manages to soothe my skin, it's ok in my book.
When the day is over, I really take my skin routine up a notch. However, that doesn't mean I apply more products. Instead, I stick with just a few favorites. This serum from Kiehl's being one of them. Just a few drops and you're good to go. What do I love most about this guy? It helps keep your face hydrated while you sleep. Sure, in my case, I still wake up puffy and red in the morning. Buuut I like to believe I wake up less puffy and red than I would if I didn't use it.
