Face
When picturing a witch, one usually thinks of wrinkled green skin and ghastly warts. To find out how to keep this popular Halloween look on the youthful side yet still unmistakably witchy, we spoke with Smashbox Cosmetics lead makeup artist Lori Taylor.
To create a "modern-day glam witch," she recommends first mattifying the skin using a foundation that matches your skin tone, and then setting it with a finishing powder (also in a matching shade), like Smashbox Cosmetics Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, to get a flawless finish.

Eyes
"The next step is to apply a rich green eye shadow," says Taylor, who suggests focusing a witch’s traditional green hue on just the eyes. "Make sure you apply it in a dramatic upswept shape from the lash line to right above the natural crease," she adds.

Eyes
"Apply black eye pencil or cream liner to the upper and lower lash lines to create a dramatic shape," recommends Taylor. For more definition, apply waterproof liner to the inner rim of the eye, extending the shape outward at the outer corner. It’s important to define the eyes so that the green shadow doesn’t overpower them.

To further define your eyes, apply a heavy coat of mascara or a set of false lashes.

Lips
Finally, apply a generous coat of red lipstick followed by a swipe of red gloss. Taylor recommends using a high-shine gloss with lots of glitter particles — such as Smashbox Cosmetics Lip Enhancing Lip Gloss in Starlit — to add more impact and drama to the face.
