Joya Studio Perfume in Porcelain Candles

****I’m a huge, huge candleaholic and always love to discover new brands. My latest obsession is Joya, a Brooklyn-based operation that produces the loveliest candles that have a bespoke feeling to them. In fact, they custom-created a candle just for me! Get your own fancypants Joya candle at Barneys New York . . . Or visit joyastudio.com to find one!_ --Eva Chen, Beauty & Health Director_

I may live in a cramped apartment smack in the middle of the concrete jungle that is Manhattan, but once I light up this bad boy, I’m whisked away to my imaginary cottage in the mountains of Colorado. Trust me, the authentic pine needle scent will play tricks with your mind! --Jane Shin Park, Beauty Writer

I will never grow tired of Dyptique candles (especially Baies in black!), but I recently discovered these Mine Design chalkboard candles at Bergdorf Goodman that I’m totally obsessed with--and they’re half the price of Dyptique. They come in a chalky black ceramic pot that’s superchic, and I love that you can personalize them. Chalk is, of course included, and you can choose from a variety of scents. --Jane Keltner de Valle, Fashion News Director

Nest Holiday 6 Votive Candle Set, $32

This is the perfect little holiday mix to line on the windowsill for Christmas! I love that these candles are tiny and diffuse the softest scent of pomegranate, mandarin, pine, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, and amber. --Mary Kate Steinmiller, Fashion Market Editor

My absolute favorite candle is Henri Bendel’s Firewood. When you burn it, it smells like you’re sitting next to a fireplace. (Which, in this cold season, is very comforting. Especially when you live in a small apartment with no fireplace.) There are other subtle scent notes in it too--little hints of cedar and vanilla. I go through about three Firewoods between fall and winter! --Leigh Belz, Features Director

I totally dig Dyptique’s Baies. It’s the must-have scent for every chic apartment, and when I light a Baies candle in my pad, I immediately feel cooler (even when it’s messy). --Danielle Nussbaum, Entertainment Director

I’m not going away anywhere warm this holiday, so this summer-scented candle from Calypso will have to be my consolation prize. I hope it’ll fend off the winter blues this year! --Hayley Phelan, Online Assistant

**Maison Francis Kurkdjian Pour le Soir Candle, $65 **

When I met Mr. Kurkdjian, he dished that his inspiration for this scent was pillows, blankets, and even the stars. I let this burn in my apartment for an hour, and found myself transfid by its intoxicating scent . . . and its ultra-chic design. _--Phillip Picardi, Beauty Intern
