While some of us (ahem) might have been too busy crying to Adele's new song "Hello" to even think about doing anything else, one intrepid and heroic college student took the ultimate breakup song and put it to the test — by texting her ex with the lyrics and nothing but the lyrics.

Poor Matt didn't figure out that Mary Caldarella — who studies PR at Auburn University — was using the hit song to air past grievances, and totally went along with the conversation. He even went so far as to say that he's the one who should be apologizing and warning her that she'd "really regret saying this" later.
We don't think she'll regret it, though, as her tweet has gone totally viral — proof that sometimes, revenge is a dish best served digitally.
But did Mary give us a clue as to her second text encounter?
