Fashion month might be around the corner, but Prada already has some big news. The label just named aespa leader Karina as its newest brand ambassador.
On August 28, 2024, Prada took to Instagram to share the big news and stunning new photos of Karina. She's pictured against a simple white background in a coquette frock. The black high-neck, body-con midi dress was covered in satin bows, a nod to the stacking trend while keeping it classically chic. In lieu of accessories, she only wore a pair of matching black patent leather point-toe mules, giving the look the signature Prada feel.
Karina wore her long black hair parted slightly to the side. Her bangs were slicked down and swept across her forehead. Her makeup was similarly kept simple and minimalistic, with just a touch of peach blush and matching lipstick.
"Prada is pleased to announce Karina, South Korean singer and leader of K-pop group aespa, as Prada's brand ambassador," the brand wrote in the post.

Karina has been a longtime friend of Prada while it's been under the leadership of creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simmons. The K-pop idol has been frequently spotted in the front row of the brand's shows over the past couple of years. But, with her new appointment, she officially joins a star-studded list of brand ambassadors, which includes her fellow SM label mate Jaehyun of NCT as well as K-pop group ENHYPEN.
Previously, while the brand was under the leadership of former creative director Matthew Williams, Karina served as an ambassador to Givenchy alongside her aespa group mates Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. Since then, Giselle has become a brand ambassador to Loewe under creative director Jonathan Anderson and went on to attend the brand's fashion week runway show in Paris last season. Ningning has taken a role as a brand ambassador for Versace, joining Stray Kids's Hyunjin as one of Donatella Versace's muses.
