Timothée Chalamet is known for many things: being an Oscar-nominated actor, speaking fluent French, and being a Barb. But over the last several months, Chalamet has added another personality trait to his list: scarf connoisseur.
The Chalamet scarf phenomenon first caught my eye when the actor showed up to the New York premiere of his Bob Dylan biopic — A Complete Unknown — wearing an outfit and blonde clip-in bangs as an ode to the famous singer (see below). Wearing a leather jacket, a beanie, and an indifferent look on his face, Chalamet paired the fit with a grey scarf tied around his neck.
After that, I was drawn to the piece of fabric he's been constantly wearing around his neck and noticed a pattern. If you take a quick look through Chalamet's most recent Getty Image collection, scarves are noticeably present throughout his press tour. Since Timothée Chalamet is an actor and is playing Bob Dylan in this film, it seems he is method-dressing to channel the singer's style (which, yes, included scarves).
As Chalamet makes his way around the globe promoting his new film and campaigning hard for an Academy Award, his scarves have come along for the ride. Does he have a separate suitcase for scarves only? The accessory comes in all shapes and sizes for Timmy; Whether it's a tiny pink scarf (below) that he matched with his tiny Chanel purse, or it's a bright yellow one that's actually practical for the New York chill, Chalamet's got them ON.
When he's not holding space for “Defying Gravity” or cozying up to his very famous girlfriend Kylie Jenner, Chalamet is busy wrapping a scarf around his neck.
Here are some of his most notable scarf moments:
Have you ever written out a word so much, it starts to sound fake? Scarf.
