What could be the last of almost a year’s worth of teasers for American Horror Story: Hotel was released during Tuesday night’s episode of Scream Queens, Ryan Murphy’s other project of the TV horror variety. The placement was fitting, because we're definitely screaming after only 20 seconds.
In the clip, detective Wes Bentley lays down after what we can only presume to be a long day’s worth of murder investigations. In keeping with the AHS way, something’s lurking underneath. This time, it appears to be a person who awakens with a suffocated gasp. We're not sure if they were hiding or seeking the same repose that Wes was, but it seems the theme may be that horror is waiting where you’d most expect it, and where you’d least hope.
It’s just one week until we can stop speculating and start seeing for ourselves, so be sure to tune into FX for all the goings-on of the Hotel Cortez. We’ll never know what Ryan has waiting for us, but as of now, we can be sure some childhood nightmares will be re-inspired. There is a monster under the bed.
