You don’t want to be on Anna Kendrick’s bad side—especially when it comes to her friends. After coming across news that her former Scott Pilgrim vs. the World co-star and bestie Mae Whitman wasn’t cast in the Independence Day sequel after playing First Daughter Patricia Whitmore in the first flick, she was furious. Especially considering every single one of the other original cast members are reprising their roles.
Since Anna’s not afraid of expressing her opinions, she tweeted her disappointment for the decision right away, making sure everyone remembers Mae is more than capable of taking on a lead role. She did just rock her part in The Duff, after all. After seeing her buddy stick up for her, Mae shot back the perfect response:
