Ariana Grande happened upon a fan blasting one of her songs in their car over the weekend, leading to a sweet interaction between the two.

In a video uploaded to her Instagram Story on Saturday, November 16, Grande was shown sitting in the backseat of a car with the window rolled down as a car next to her was playing her song “Imagine” loudly.

The end of the song was playing, which is when Grande sings in a whistle tone, and the person in the car started to sing it before saying, “I'm gonna f*** it up.” But Grande, being the supportive artist that she is, cheered them on, yelling “let's go!”

Grande then asked the fan what their name was, to which they responded, “Edwin!”

“I love you so much,” Edwin said. “I can't believe I'm this close to you!”

“I was like, how is this real? Is that me?” Grande said. “You made my day.”

Despite being a successful musician and having seven studio albums under her belt, Grande still seemed so grateful to hear someone playing her songs. She wrote on her Instagram Story that she “made a friend” and “couldn't believe my ears!!!!!!”

“It was blasting. thank you Edwin for making my day,” Grande continued. "Thank you for catching this moment i'm still crying."

Ariana Grande appeared to have just come from a special r.e.m. beauty screening of Wicked in Los Angeles. The musician and star of the film wore a white, gumdrop-shaped Loewe dress that hung down to her mid-thigh and had a textured pattern. She paired the designer dress with matching white heels and slicked her hair back.
