ICYMI, Bad Bunny hosted and performed on Saturday Night Live on October 21. While, as a whole, he totally nailed it, there was one sketch in particular that gave us a great, timely, last-minute Halloween costume idea — think funny and relevant, but also really easy to execute.
When you're hosting SNL, you're constantly changing clothes, wigs, and makeup; we saw Bad Bunny in a long, curly Renaissance wig and a mom bob with bangs, among many others. But in the aforementioned sketch, the rapper takes on another icon: Shrek. He meets up with the Please Don't Destroy comedy team to brainstorm some ideas for the show, except he does it in a full-on Shrek costume, complete with green body paint.
At first, the PDD guys think this is about the show, but then the tables turn, and Benito reveals that he wrote a script for Shrek: Infinity, and he wants the PDD crew to join him as Donkey, Puss in Boots, and…Michael Jackson? He does all this in the complete Shrek look: swampy green skin, a matching green cap with horns, and Shrek's instantly recognizable tunic top and vest.

The sketch is super funny, but it would also be a genius last-minute costume, whether you go solo as Bad Bunny-as-Shrek or grab a few friends to transform themselves into the rest of the characters. All you really need to transform yourself into Shrek is a long-sleeved linen-esque tunic top, brown pants, and a brown vest — easily found at your local thrift store if you don't have an SNL-worthy costume department — plus some “Ogre Green” body paint. Remember, you're not the Dreamworks animated classic version of Shrek; you are Bad Bunny as Shrek, so if your body paint is splotchy, fine! It's about having heart. Benito would be proud.
