New season, new handbag! Bella Hadid has chosen her favorite fall bag, and we're about to follow suit.
The supermodel was recently spotted in Los Angeles wearing Coachtopia's Alter/Ego Hobo Bag slung over her shoulder, styled with gray bootcut jeans, a high-necked black top, black leather jacket, and black boots — a.k.a. the ideal outfit for a day of errands, meetings, lunch, or shopping.
The black leather bag was generous in size to hold all of her daily essentials, with a long strap that could be adjusted to wear crossbody style. But that's not the coolest part about the bag by far.
The Alter/Ego Bag isn't just chic; it's a more sustainable fashion choice too. The bag is made with upcycled leather scraps from other Coach bags, like the popular Tabby and Brooklyn Bags, and thus it's saved from a landfill. The leather has been woven together in a checkerboard style, which adds interest to an otherwise simple, classic black leather bag. Because it's leather, the price point is higher; the Alter/Ego retails for $350.
According to Coach, the bag is made of 80% recycled materials and provides a 64% carbon reduction than a comparable product made with new materials. This more sustainable approach to fashion is the heart of Coachtopia, which was launched in 2023 and aims to redefine the product life cycle by getting creative with waste and recycled materials.
As we know, Bella Hadid is the queen of street style, and when she wears something, people take notice. Before the Alter/Ego Bag, Hadid was all about Coach's Brooklyn Bag, toting it around all summer with her signature Bella-style ‘fits.
