Bella Hadid’s latest take on the corset trend is proof that she can do it all when it comes to style.
Over the past few months, we have seen many celebs jump on the corset trend. Remember Gigi Hadid’s birthday when she wore the all-white lace corset with the matching pants? Or when Billie Eilish wore an all-Gucci corseted gown made with upcycled fabric to the Met Gala? Even Bella wore a corset and put a Y2K spin on the corset trend earlier this summer. However, Bella’s new spin on the trend is more than your usual throwback – it is actually a low-key ode to the corset’s origination.
In case you didn’t know (or didn’t watch Bridgerton), the corset was an essential undergarment for Victorian women. In an Instagram carousel, Bella graced us with a Y2K meets Victorian look — wearing a white jean corset with pink ribbon over a sheer pink off-the-shoulders top. She paired the Corset — yes, with a capital “C” — with two braids, very baggy jeans, and shiny black Mary Janes heels on white socks.
"Surprised my mumma in Holland a few weeks ago”, Bella captioned the post, which included a photo sitting canal side with her mom, Yolanda Hadid, that exposed the pink ribbon lace-up details of the white, Victorian corset.

No doubt, the model has had a style transformation over the years and we know that no one does Y2K quite like Bella. Truly, she has been serving look after look — from exposed G-strings to those stretchy zigzag headbands.
Nostalgic accents aside, Bella Hadid is a serial trendsetter and is never afraid to experiment. Responding to critics commenting on her style earlier this year, she wrote, “Anyone who doesn’t like my style…It’s a good thing it’s mine. And not yours!!”
Even if some don’t back some of Bella's trend revivals, this exaggerated Victorian corset look has us obsessed — especially with the colder months around the corner.
