BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim might be gearing up for the release of her new single “Love Hangover” on Jan. 31, 2025, but she's also making sure to fulfill her fashion ambassador obligations and stopping by the Chanel haute couture spring-summer 2025 show in Paris wearing yet another showstopping look.
Every season, Jennie makes the trek to the French capital to attend the Chanel show, and every season, her look doesn't go unnoticed. The last time we saw her on Parisian soil for ambassador duties, she surprised everyone by going momentarily blonde. Before then, she gave the balletcore trend a goth spin, and now she's skipping the shirt and going bra-first with an ethereal take on baby blue.
Jennie arrived at the show's venue and immediately stole the spotlight, wearing a quintessentially summery look despite the city's cold temperatures. The focus of her outfit was undoubtedly the feathery cape, complete with a small train and a very Chanel-esque sheer black bow. Despite its feather-heavy top, the garment lightly cascaded into a sheer veil that framed Jennie's body and the other more casual components of her 'fit.
Jennie paired it with straight-leg, low-rise black pants with blue and black platform heels and a sheer triangle bra in the same reigning shade of blue. As far as accessories go, she made a statement with a thin diamond belly chain featuring Chanel's iconic interlocking Cs, and four silver rings spread across her fingers, which featured a matching blue stiletto mani.
While the nails were out there, the star kept the rest of her glam subdued, opting for a casual hair updo with loose face-framing layers and a no-makeup makeup look with pinky nude lips, a wash of eye shadow and pink blush, and a super thin cat eye. She also skipped the earrings, simply donning her silver low helix piercing.
The choice of color for the Chanel show does not seem like a coincidence, as Jennie seems to be entering a baby blue era ahead of her new single, which will be part of her first solo album, Ruby. The same cape and shoes appeared during the brand's spring-summer 2025 RTW show, but the styling differed a little from Jennie's more daring take.
Just hours before attending the Chanel show, the star posted a snippet of the visuals for “Love Hangover” on her social media, and she's wearing yet another Chanel set, which also debuted in the spring-summer RTW show, in a similar color for what appears to be the upcoming music video. Now, BRB, we need to Google all the meanings of this particular hue.
