BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim is going three for three on her Met Gala tally. The “Love Hangover” singer is back gracing the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, and we are, once again, in awe.
Honoring the Met Gala 2025 theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and this year's dress code, “Tailored for You,” Jennie Kim arrived at the venue wearing a full black and white look by Chanel, complete with a white camellia flower, one of the symbols of the house, adorning her neckline.
Jennie was first spotted wearing her 'fit en route from The Carlyle. She opted for a black dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline and white lapels peeking through the tailored bodice, which also featured hanging pearl chain embellishments. The dress flowed into a long, ballooned skirt that opened in the middle, revealing her black satin pump stilettos and white lining.
Jennie rounded off her look wearing her hair in a chic, low chignon to accommodate her black pork pie hat with a thick white band and kept her makeup simple, donning rosy cheeks, a mauvey lip, and a thin cat eye liner.
Jennie Kim's appearance at the Met Gala 2025 marks the third year in a row that the star has made her way to Manhattan for the exclusive event. (Previously, her fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé had been the only member of the group to attend in 2021.)
Jennie made her Met Gala debut in 2023, wearing a ‘90s vintage look from Chanel, which merged her career and the theme perfectly. Not only has Jennie been an ambassador of the French maison since 2017, but the Met Gala 2023 honored Chanel’s long-time creative director, Karl Lagerfeld.
In 2024, Jennie attended her second Met Gala. While everyone expected her to wear Chanel for the occasion, she surprised everyone by rocking a midriff-baring wrap dress that was custom-made for her by Alaïa. Her third look goes full circle and serves as a perfect homage to Coco Chanel herself.
After two back-to-back years attending the event, fans were on high alert for Jennie's Met Gala 2025 appearance when the singer was spotted en route to the States at South Korea's Incheon Airport wearing a fluffy beanie with bunny ears, a spiky knitted bomber jacket, and comfy cream joggers. She was later seen at The Mark Hotel, where Met Gala invitees often stay, wearing the same pants and a tan coated canvas jacket with a shearling collar from Chanel's Coco Neige 2024/25 collection.
