While we were all still taking in her most recent look at Paris Fashion Week, BLACKPINK's Rosé was busy planning a very special social announcement: her new signing to Atlantic Records.
On September 16, 2024, Atlantic Records and Rosé announced the singer had joined the famed record label — home to artists like Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Charli XCX, Coldplay, and many more — with a worldwide deal, which will work in a management partnership with Rosé's solo label The Black Label, a subsidiary of BLACKPINK's home company YG Entertainment.
Rosé herself announced the news via Instagram, writing, “I know you’ve all waited sooo long for this moment, but I hope you’re READY for what’s in store for the next few months!! i CANNOTTT wait for you all to hear everything!! so hang on tight!! miss you all dearly.” She signed off the message asking followers to follow her new “finsta” @vampirehollie for more updates.

Atlantic Records also commemorated the occasion on its Instagram, posting a photo of Rosé holding a massive bouquet of flowers with a note that reads: “Welcome to the family.” In a press email, the record label shared that “additional news is expected to follow soon.” In the meantime, a webpage has been created for Rosé, asking fans to sign up with the question: “Will you be my number one?”

Rosé had previously announced her signing to The Black Label in June 2024. “This has been a year of drawing up a map and navigating to where I want to be and what I want to be doing going forward. It has been months of learning how to be an independent person for myself," she said at the time. "Ultimately, I am happy to announce that I am officially working with @theblacklabel as my music management who will be managing my curriculum and helping me navigate towards achieving my dreams. On top of that, I will have some other very exciting announcements in the not-too-distant future, but most importantly, I would love for everyone to be most excited for my music!”
Rosé's global signing to Atlantic Records follows fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie's announcement of her own signing to Columbia Records in partnership with her company, ODD Atelier. While the BLACKPINK members continue to be booked and busy individually, BLINKs also need to keep an eye out for future group activities, as YG Entertainment also announced earlier this year that the quartet would be making a comeback and embarking on another world tour in 2025.
