BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim has some pretty exciting solo ventures in the pipeline. The singer, who set up her own company, ODD Atelier, in late 2023, has officially signed on to Columbia Records and is set to release new music very soon.
On September 8, 2024, Columbia Records announced its new partnership with Jennie and ODD Atelier via a collaborative Instagram post. “We are family,” the caption read. The post included two pictures of the star dressed in all-black, posing against a bright red background.

As confirmed by Variety, the partnership between Columbia Records and ODD Atelier will kick off this October, when Jennie is slated to drop a new solo single, her first since 2023’s “You & Me,” which she performed all throughout BLACKPINK’s Born Pink world tour in 2022 and 2023.
Since setting up ODD Atelier, Jennie has gone on to do multiple projects across fashion, music, and entertainment. Among other things, she made her runway debut with Jacquemus in June, released collaborations with Brockhampton’s Matt Champion and Zico, and recorded various variety programs like Apartment 404 and My Name is Gabriel, which streams on Hulu. The star also teased an unreleased song in a Beats commercial this past June.

Since her contract expiration with YG Entertainment in late 2023, ODD Atelier has completely managed Jennie’s solo ventures. Fellow BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jisoo have also set up their own companies — LLOUD and BLISSOO, respectively — for their solo activities, while Rosé joined YG subsidiary The Black Label.
Though the members’ solo careers now reside in different companies, the BLACKPINK members reached an agreement with YG to keep promoting as a group under the company. In July 2024, YG teased the quartet was gearing up for a group comeback and world tour in 2025.
No further details have been announced about Jennie’s upcoming single via ODD Atelier and Columbia Records, but the companies have already set up a website for those who wish to receive updates.
