As Pride approaches, Calvin Klein is launching its 2021 Global Pride Campaign. Unveiled on May 26, the brand's new Pride campaign celebrates defining moments in the queer and trans journey of eight different individuals, according to a press release.

The campaign features both an intimate photoshoot and a short film featuring the new Calvin Klein Pride capsule modeled by each of the eight stars: Élite's Omar Ayuso, Arca, Isaac Cole Powell, Kai Isaiah Jamal, King Princess, Raisa Flowers, Honey Dijon, and Samuel de Saboia.

As part of the #ProudInMyCalvins global campaign, the images and accompanying films focus on different parts of the world and at different points in time. Shot by six different photographers, the images revisit transformative moments for each member of the Pride campaign.

“When I was in Catholic school... when I first shaved my head. My principal was like, ‘We need to watch her because she’s going to be wild.’ I felt like a badass," says Raisa Flowers, of her transformative moment. “The first time in my life that someone had seen me before I saw myself... It was another trans woman that said to me, ‘You belong in a skirt.’ I realized at that moment that I could exist," Honey Dijon says of hers. “When I told my mother… I thought she would be shocked and make some big scene. She said, ‘Ok, I'll get some tickets for The Sound of Music,'" Élite star Omar Ayuso, who went Instagram official with his IRL boyfriend this time last year, added of his coming out.

Aside from the campaign, the capsule’s offerings include the modern cotton bralette and boxer briefs with the Calvin Klein logo waistband, cropped t-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts, denim bottoms, truckers, and the staple white t-shirt.

Calvin Klein has ongoing partnerships in support of multiple LGBTQIA+ organizations, including ILGA World, Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, and the National Pulse Memorial & Museum. The brand has also announced a new two-year partnership with The Trevor Project, the largest suicide prevention and crisis management center for LGBTQ+ youth.
