Ah, wisdom teeth! The extraction of these additional molars have provided the Internet with a wealth of comedic material. From a girl believing that she's actually Kylie Jenner to Rita Ora randomly muttering the word "chickens," there's no telling what hilarity will ensue as patients recover from the procedure.
While we've seen our fair share of people saying absurd and bawdy things through gauze-filled mouths, Abby Jo Hamele's story takes the cake.
As BuzzFeed News reports, this 19-year-old from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln was concerned about missing a deadline for a Philosophy 101 paper while recovering from her procedure. Worried she might miss the chance to have her teaching assistant, Kevin Patton, review it, she sent a plea for a revised deadline. In case her circumstances weren't convincing enough, she even offered up bribery. She volunteered to answer his questions in class "so theere are not any more awkard silence" and buy him better Expo markers "even thougjh our tuition should pay for markers that work."
Much to her embarrassment and the Internet's delight, she forgot she ever penned the missive only to discover it later. "I EMAILED MY PHILOSOPHY TA WHILE I WAS HIGH ON HYDROCODON I'M DEAD," she wrote.
