Corey Fogelmanis and Conan Gray have been the kings of the internet for the entire summer of 2025. The My Life With The Walter Boys actor and the Wishbone singer have been the talk of the town, appearing in multiple social media videos together and sparking everyone's interest in their relationship.
While many have speculated whether there's more than friendship between them, Fogelmanis confirmed in a September 2025 Teen Vogue interview that he and Gray are just good friends. (In fact, he also confirmed he has a boyfriend, whom he's been dating for about five months.)

“It's so funny because when we made the videos, we had kind of come up with this concept for the character and the stories," Fogelmanis told us. "I loved it, I felt like they were awesome, but I knew what he had written the songs about. And so it's like I also was kind of thinking about that. But the way the videos came together made it [so that] people have really taken to the lore. He literally said to me, ‘People are talking about the songs as if they're about these characters, as if I wrote these songs about Will and Bran.’ And he's so happy about that… So I think it means we did a good job.”
Fogelmanis and Gray might be notoriously known for being BFFs with Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, respectively, but they are also BFFs with each other. Speaking to People, Gray said he picked Fogelmanis for the project because he “knew [he] couldn’t do it with a stranger.” He added, “I called him up, I said, ‘Hey, Corey. Can we fall in love in a music video?’ I truly don’t think I could have done it if it wasn’t for [him].”

Conan Gray brought Corey Fogelmanis as his +1 to the VMAs 2025, and the two graced the red carpet together wearing Erik Charlotte and Ann Demeulemeester, respectively. Of course, Fogelmanis was more than just Gray's guest at the awards; he also joined him on stage for a Romeo & Juliet-inspired live rendition of “Vodka Cranberry.”
August 2025: The Wishbone trilogy is complete
Combining the music videos for “This Song,” “Vodka Cranberry,” and “Caramel,” Gray released the complete Wishbone trilogy in a movie-like video starring himself and Fogelmanis, which premiered a couple of weeks after the album's debut on August 15, 2025.

Speaking to Teen Vogue, Fogelmanis revealed the two tried to make something similar happen for Gray's previous album, Found Heaven, “but it just didn't work out.” He added: "It was kind of just perfect how it did end up happening. Though we don't know what they were up to in 2020, we can only assume that Fogelmanis and Gray kept in touch during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Gray makes a cameo in Fogelmanis's vlog documenting his 2021 summer, appearing in two brief clips, including one where the two seem to be grabbing pizza together in NYC.

Right around the time their friendship was forming, Fogelmanis attended Gray's concert in New York’s Terminal 5 as part of the star's sophomore tour, The Comfort Crowd Tour, in support of his then-still-upcoming debut album Kid Krow, which Gray had already been working on when he met Fogelmanis.
