If you are a fan of anime apparel collabs, you are going to want to be seated for this one because Crunchyroll has teamed up with Logic to release a new streetwear collection inspired by Cowboy Bebop.
Unveiled today, July 1, 2024, Crunchyroll and Logic’s brand-new Cowboy Bebop collection features 11 different pieces in total, all exclusive to Crunchyroll. The collection includes five T-shirt designs, two Sweatshirts, a hoodie, a varsity jacket, a beanie, a corduroy hat, a poster, and even a skate deck — so there truly is something for everyone.
Long-time fans of the neo-noir space Western story would be pleased to know the collection was designed by Toshihiro Kawamoto, who served as the animation director and character designer for the anime show.
Since its premiere, Cowboy Bebop has become one of the most popular animes of all time despite only having one season. The show follows the story of bounty hunter Spike Spiegel and his crew of misfits on intergalactic quests galore.
“Anime was there for me when I was growing up in a drug and violence-ridden childhood and household. I discovered anime through Cowboy Bebop, and would later go on to befriend the voice of Spike Spiegel, Steve Blum, and collaborate with him on various albums, which is a dream come true,” Logic said about the collection.
“Without ‘Cowboy Bebop,’ there is no Logic,” he continued. “I just hope that collabing with ‘Cowboy Bebop’ and Crunchyroll will allow me to introduce a lot more of my fans who might not be hip to ‘Cowboy Bebop,’ and vice versa, and hope that a bunch of people out there who love ‘Cowboy Bebop’ will realize I'm making fun anime nerd albums.”
If you want to get your hands on one of the pieces, run, don’t walk. The collection is available for pre-order from July 1 on the Crunchyroll Store. If you are headed to the Anime Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center this weekend, limited quantities will also be available for purchase on-site.
