Crunchyroll is kicking off Anime Expo week with major news for cosplayers and collectors. If you've ever dreamed about owning your own version of Misato Katsuragi's jacket from Neon Genesis Evangelion, that dream is now a reality.
As Teen Vogue can exclusively report, Crunchyroll is launching a replica of Misato's jackets as part of its Crunchyroll Store exclusives. The replica on sale for fans will be made from high-quality leather and will come with an exact replica of Misato's cross necklace to boot.
Misato's red jacket, which is actually part of her NERV uniform, is perhaps one of the most iconic pieces of clothing featured in anime to this day. Even when wearing civilian clothing, Misato Katsuragi wears the piece for most of the course of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
