Twelve glorious months of new pop culture? Yes, please! Gorgeous Teen Vogue Young Hollywood alum and future style star Bella Heathcote—who won the prestigious Heath Ledger Scholarship award—locks in her ingenue cred with lead roles in Tim Burton creeper Dark Shadows and rock 'n' roll flick Twylight Zones. Speaking of alumni, I'm obsessed with Idol expat Katharine McPhee and her mesmerizing small-screen debut—in case you've forgotten, that girl can sing—in NBC's Broadway-behind-the-scenes drama Smash.

For renewed TV, there's nothing I'm looking forward to (besides Suburgatory's full-season pickup—yay!) as much as MTV's Awkward. This show was 2011's little engine that could, inspiring Twilight-level Twitter wars—Team Matty vs. Team Jake—among its loyal fans (I'm totally Team Matty, BTW). I can't wait to see who the fantastic Ashley Rickards (Jenna) ends up with as she charmingly fumbles her way through high school.
