TWICE member Dahyun is solidifying her actor status with the upcoming K-drama film You Are the Apple of My Eye, an upcoming remake of the popular Taiwanese hit movie of the same name, written and directed by Giddens Ko and based on his semi-autobiographical novel.
On September 3, 2024, TWICE's parent company, JYP Entertainment, posted the first trailer for the drama on the group's official social account, giving fans a first look at Dahyun in You Are the Apple of My Eye. Though no release date has yet been announced for You Are the Apple of My Eye, the new teaser trailer did reveal the project was “coming soon.”

Directed by Cho Youngmyoung, the Korean adaptation of You Are the Apple of My Eye stars TWICE's Dahyun as Sun-ah and former B1A4 member Jung Jinyoung, whom you might recognize from Love in the Moonlight, Police University, and Netflix's Sweet Home. You Are the Apple of My Eye marks Dahyun's second standalone acting project to date, following her involvement in sports drama Sprint.
You Are the Apple of My Eye, which also received a Japanese remake in 2018, is a coming-of-age romance movie. It follows the story of an A-star student at a private school who enchants both pupils and teachers and a mischievous schoolboy who claims not to have feelings for her.
In the trailer for the K-drama, which you can watch above, we see Jung Jinyoung's character questioning why his classmates like Dahyun's Sun-ah so much, mirroring Ko Ching-teng's feelings from the original movie. “That's how we met,” the screen reads as glimpses of their future relationship flash on the screen before revealing the Korean title for the movie: 그 시절, 우리가 좋아했던 소녀, which roughly translates to “The girl we liked back then.” (The Korean title mirrors the original title of Giddens Ko's work, which literally translates to “Those Years, The Girl We Went After Together”).
While we wait for confirmation on a release date, you can also watch the trailer for the original You Are the Apple of My Eye movie below:
