People on the internet have always found copious ways to spend their time online, but there's one activity that has become one of the most revered: the ever so popular Photoshop battle. Plenty of internet denizens have used their photo editing skills to whip up the wackiest pics and mashups, with there now being an entire subreddit dedicated to the interest that has over 11 million subscribers and counting. Their latest muse? None other than Sesame Street's own Elmo.
Early Wednesday morning (May 17), one Redditor proposed a new image to be remixed. In the pic, a dude is posing with Woody from Toy Story at what appears to be Times Square in New York City, a tourist hotspot known for its bright lights and the various cartoon character impersonators that roam the area for photo ops with people. The photo is innocent enough, but the real whammy is the fact that there's a person dressed up as PBS's iconic red BFF looking ab-so-lut-ely devastated. Thus, people on the subreddit began working their magic and creating their own hilarious remixes. In just a couple of hours, the thread has over 23,000 upvotes and skyrocketed to the top of Reddit's front page.
