Dior Show Fall/Winter 2021-2022: Watch the Livestream

Because it's still fashion month.

Despite some restrictions to comply with pandemic regulations, Paris Fashion Week has taken a “the show must go on” approach this season. With socially distant and virtual presentations, the City of Lights has been breathed in fashion in a new way this year and, as usual, one of the most anticipated events from the French capital's calendar is the Dior show.

Taking place today, March 8, at 8:30 AM EST (or, 2:30 PM Paris time), the legendary maison will show its Fall/Winter 2021-2022 ready-to-wear collection, which was teased last week with an animated clip by Amsterdam-based artist Aisha Madu.

No matter where you are in the world, you can watch the Dior show live below:

For this collection, Dior’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, looked to fairy tales from inspiration, pulling elements from oeuvres such as Little Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast. (A press release from the brand notes the designer is “particularly fond” of Jean Cocteau’s film adaptation from the 1940s).

These inspirations were glaring not only in the clothes – with reds, whites, and dark tones dominating the color palette and capes, dresses, and raincoats taking center stage on the silhouette front – but also the show’s very setting. “Evening gowns are fit for princesses, in layered tulles that seem to evaporate in a froth of marvelous colors. Then there are white collars, plastrons in broderie Anglaise, and white bobby socks recalling the world of childhood,” the brand wore in a release. "A new self-awareness, born of a feminine sensibility that knows how to blend memories of the past and maturity, as if by magic.”
