On Tuesday night, Hillary Rodham Clinton became the first woman to win a major political party's nomination for president of the United States. So... why did newspapers across the country show pictures of her husband on their front pages instead of the person who actually made American history?
The Washington Post put a picture of the wrong Clinton on the front page.

The Houston Chronicle also apparently had some confusion about which Clinton changed the course of history:

Although Bill did give a speech Tuesday while Hillary only appeared via video at the end of the night, that doesn't excuse Hillary's erasure from this truly important event. Too often have women been described in terms of their husbands. In a tweet about distinguished human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, the AP merely referenced her as "actor's wife" — and the story wasn't about a new George Clooney movie! It was about one of her cases!
Of course, not every newspaper got it wrong.
