Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are hearing wedding bells. After more than a year of dating publicly, the two stars are officially engaged and ready for their next steps together.
Lipa herself confirmed her engagement to the actor in an interview with British Vogue, where she also opened up about how they met. The star revealed the two met at The River Cafe by London's River Thames, where Lipa was having dinner with her dad and Turner was hanging with friends. One of the co-founders introduced them. However, the duo's paths had crossed before, and they were part of the same circle. “We have so many friends in common,” Lipa revealed.
It wasn't until a year after their cafe encounter that the two reconnected in Los Angeles. Lipa was having dinner with Mustafa the Poet and Turner — or as she called him the “really hot guy from The River Cafe” — showed up reading the same book as hers and the rest, as they say, is history. Now, the engaged duo live by a simple rule: they can't spend more than two-and-a-half weeks apart. June 12, 2025: Dua Lipa confirms she and Callum Turner are engaged
After much speculation, Dua Lipa confirmed she and Callum Turner are engaged in a cover story with British Vogue. “Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa told the magazine, adding that “it’s very exciting.”
The singer also revealed she is “obsessed” with her engagement ring and opened up about wedding plans. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period," she said. "I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
“This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever — it’s a really special feeling," Lipa continued, adding that she'd also “love to have kids one day.” She said: “I think it’s just one of those things that’s going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there’s so much more to raising a child than just loving children.”
