Dua Lipa, I have a few questions for you. Namely … how on earth do you walk in those enormous platform shoes? The pop star was giving Spice Girls circa 1997 with her latest outfit, which included a sky-high pair of seven-inch platform heels even Ginger Spice would think twice about.
Lipa showed off the shoes — the Marc Jacobs Kiki platforms, if you're looking to replicate the look at home — on Instagram. In the first photo, she's seated on the grass in said shoes and a black and white floral lace minidress; I assumed she was sitting because it was nearly impossible to stand, much less walk, in such high heels, but Lipa proved me wrong. In the next pic, she's posing against a wall, though it is worth noting that she's holding it for support. Dancing shoes these are not, but there's no denying they make a very big style statement. “The higher the heel the closer to God,” Lipa wrote. The heels are an accessory in themselves, but the musician also added a pair of skinny '90s-style sunglasses and a pair of silver earrings to her black and white ensemble.

If you're feeling courageous and want to try your hand (or is it feet?) at such a skyscraper of a shoe, Lipa's exact pair are made of calf leather and feature a ladder of five straps up to the ankle. Her shoes retail for $2,400, so not the most affordable fall purchase of all time, but Marc Jacobs also offers an embossed pair with a slightly lower heel for $550. (The designer himself hopped into Lipa's comment section to praise her boots, calling the look “Gorgeous. Always.”) The shoes may be super, super tall, but Lipa makes their seven-inch height look easy. Ah, that pop star magic. And if the shoes look familiar, that's because Kendall Jenner wore the boots at the Met Gala, and her sister Kim Kardashian donned a white pair for her fall 2023 Marc campaign.
The Kiki platforms aren't the only attention-grabbing accessory Lipa rocked over the long weekend. In another photo dump, she showed off her take on the exposed undies trend; however, instead of a peekaboo bra, Lipa posed for a mirror selfie in super low-rise jeans with a white lace thong peeking out. (Very Y2K of her.) The musician has had the most fashionable summer ever, and we're so looking forward to what she's got on her sartorial radar for fall.
