Are you sure that's Emma Chamberlain? Like, absolutely sure? The influencer has been the ultimate beauty chameleon during Fashion Month, and her Alexander McQueen moment was such a dramatic transformation that we almost didn't recognize her.
Over the weekend, Emma Chamberlain went full goth-slash-grunge to sit front row at the Paris Fashion Week show, with her wet-look bob and pound of black eyeshadow and eyeliner making her look like a different person entirely.
Chamberlain's bob was styled to look piecey and soaking wet, as though she'd just gotten out of the shower or a dip in the ocean, and her eyes were ringed with thick circles of black eyeliner on both the upper and lower lashlines, with deep gray shadow brushed all the way up to her brows. On her lips, the social media star wore an earthy brown lip liner with a lighter shade applied to the center, plus a touch of highlighter on her cheekbones.
When she sat front row next to After star Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, musician Deyaz, and a few others, we truly couldn't pick her out of the lineup right away — it took a few seconds of deep concentration to realize that was Emma, but the dark liner and goth bob are really working for her.
Chamberlain has been having a lot of fun with her looks this fashion season, changing it up with makeup and hair pieces to transform from one show to the next. In Milan, she hit the streets in trendy microbangs. At the Vivienne Westwood show, she wore her hair pulled up and spiked out in varying directions, opting for rust tones on her eyes and cheeks.
She showed us how to correctly rock the polarizing 2000s skirt-over-pants trend at Courrèges, then wore a bra over her shirt at Acne Studios. On March 3, she went back to more neutral hair and makeup for a Mugler presentation, wearing a coppery shadow on her lids and pulling back her hair save for one precise tendril.
What better time to try something new than Fashion Month? Or, you know, Tuesday?
