You gotta bring your A-game with your outfit, accessories, and the accompanying hair and makeup. Emma Chamberlain did just that at the Prada show during Milan Fashion Week.
Emma Chamberlain headed to the show in a belted gray blazer over a rust-colored slip skirt, but it wasn't the outfit we were looking at; it was her bangs! The social media star is never afraid to take a beauty risk, and she debuted a set of blunt microbangs just in time for the show. They're super short, hitting about mid-forehead, and super retro in style, as though they walked right out of the '50s and onto the streets of Milan.
Chamberlain wore the rest of her hair pulled back in a ponytail to let the bangs be the star of her look. Her makeup, too, was pretty minimal, with a peachy color across her eyelids and a similar shade on her cheeks and lips. Her brows, which were perfectly framed by the bangs, were worn full and fluffy.
Chamberlain isn't the only star having fun with baby bangs. Zendaya wore a similar style in a deep purple-red color for the Schiaparelli show during Couture Week, pairing them with straight hair and a satin skirt with a billowing train, plus spike-heeled Christian Louboutin shoes.
Will ultra-short, barely brow-length bangs be one of the biggest hair trends of 2024? That remains to be seen, given that we're only two months into the year, but if both Chamberlain and Zendaya have co-signed the look, it could convince us to pick up the scissors.
