Emme Muñiz just made a case for double velvet, proving that we’re fully entering the fall season full force. The 17-year-old attended the screening of their mother Jennifer Lopez’s new film “Kiss of the Spider Woman” in New York City on Oct. 6. They were also joined by their twin Max, who the internet cooed at his striking resemblance to their dad, Marc Anthony. The latest JLo film is about Valentín, a political prisoner, who shares a cell with Molina, a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna (played by Lopez).
Lopez’s gown fit the theme of the film with its weblike detailing that resembled a spider. Max wore khaki dress pants, a red top, a striped jacket and brown dress shoes. But the star of the trio was Emme Muñiz, who sported a textured look that included a red velvet blazer and black velvet pants. They finished off the look with patent shoes and a blouse with a white trim at the neckline, and a slew of fun accessories — something the teen loves to layer in all their outfits
Max and Emme have both appeared on the red carpet with JLo over the years. In March 2025, she brought Emme to the premiere of the Broadway revival of “Othello.” Muñiz loves to layer while on a red carpet, but their look at this latest one is a testament to the fun of fall fashion. Suede and velvet are very popular materials during the colder months and many might not think to pair velvet with itself but this is proof that it just might be the move. We’re often thinking about mixing fabrics, but sometimes you cannot go wrong with doing the same fabric on the top and bottom of your look. It adds a winter flair perfect for the next few months.
